TRAINING CLASS SCHEDULE

Classes for  are held both during the week and on the weekend to accommodate most any schedule. Participants must attend 2 classes per week. There is no additional fee for make-up classes as long as the instructor has been notified prior to the absence. All participants are expected to practice twice daily for at least 15 minutes (total of 30 minutes each day) for the best results. It will be very obvious if there is no reinforcement at home, so please uphold your commitment and responsibility to your canine, the instructor, other participants, and most importantly to yourself. We train the owners to train their canines, and success depends on practice. Training equals results!

Please plan to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the beginning of class to ensure you have enough time to relieve your canine, gather all supplies, and prepare to train. If you are rushed and frustrated, those emotions travel right down the leash. Training time should always be a fun time to bond with your canine partner. If you arrive early and are fully prepared to begin, please be attentive and also do not allow the canines to socialize with each other; please be respectful of this policy.

Once participants have completed their course, 2 Refresher Classes per year are included for the life of the canine. For those who just can't get enough, desire continued practice, or just enjoy the experience overall and wish to continue attending, Continuing Education classes are available on a per class basis for an additional fee. Please call ahead to ensure space is available. To continue to provide the best training environment to current participants, the instructor reserves the right to refuse to include anyone who did not receive prior authorization to attend additional classes, regardless if they are Make-up, Continuing Education, or Refresher Classes.

Please note, if more than 2 classes are missed in a row without prior arrangements having been made, your training contract becomes null and void. (This does not include classes that have been cancelled due to inclement weather or other circumstances beyond our control.) Training with any other trainer, organization, or business also nullifies your contract, due to conflict of interest.

Please call to schedule a class observation. We look forward to meeting you and your canine!

Basic Schedule

Classes for Advanced Obedience are held only on Saturday mornings at this time. Participants attend 1 class per week. There is no additional fee for make-up classes as long as the instructor has been notified prior to the absence. (Advanced Obedience class participants may attend a Basic Obedience class as a make-up class if they desire.) All participants are expected to practice twice daily for at least 15 minutes (total of 30 minutes each day) for the best results. At this level of obedience training, participants already know the commitment it takes to be successful. Again, it will be very obvious if there is no reinforcement at home, so please remember that training equals results!

Our Basic Obedience class is a prerequisite of Advanced Obedience. If your canine already has attended a basic obedience course elsewhere and already has earned an AKC CGC, you may be able to test into the Advanced Obedience class at the instructor's discretion for an additional fee.

Just as with the Basic Obedience class, please plan to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the beginning of class to ensure you have enough time to relieve your canine, gather all supplies, and prepare to train. Frustration travels right down the leash, and that is still true in Advanced Obedience. Training time should always be a time to bond with your canine partner, and bonds are strengthened even further in this ultimately off-leash class. If you arrive early and are fully prepared to begin, please remember be attentive and to not allow the canines to socialize with each other, especially since the canines are older at this point, and many are still intact. Please be respectful of this policy for the safety and well-being of all.

Once participants have completed their course, 2 Refresher Classes per year are included for the life of the canine. Just as with Basic Obedience, for those who desire additional practice or just enjoy the camaraderie and wish to continue attending, Continuing Education classes are available on a per class basis for an additional fee.

Advanced Schedule
Protection Schedule

Personal Protection and Business Protection training is done on a private basis. Days and times of training will be scheduled at a mutually convenient time for both the instructor and the handler. Every canine, handler, and situation is different, so the training will be based upon progress. Generally, training will start out two to three times per week, then gradually decrease in frequency. Please call to discuss scheduling in more detail.
